When PMS time comes, usually I avoid to meet people, just stay in my white office all day long alone. I think that is just as well than I force myself then the next thing happen, I get angry to others. No..no..no.. But in FC, how can it be?

This is a tough-day, I dont event want to smile. Sigh…

Maybe I have to read “”Guide Book: How to Keep Your Smile During PMS-Time” ;P

It’s been a long time I haven’t written “duniariri”. Busy, error on my computer, lazyness… ehehehe…Finally I’m writing, it’s beautiful morning, odd feelings.

 Where do I start first?Hm.. about my job. I’m no longer in Tonyraka. Yes, I quit the job considering my family. Tonyraka needs me either my family, so family comes first. Then I work in Forrest Club and BICS (Bali International Communications Service), both are belong to my sister, PW. So… here I am

It’s pretty hard for me leaving Tonyraka. I left an-emerging-gallery in Bali. Say I’m crazy, but I am. I take risks therefore I live! People said: Get A Life! and I’m doing it right now. At this time, we haven’t waiter/waitress yet, so we’re doing all the tasks, sweeping, cooking, washing, shopping,,, I’m doing interview this Tuesday for an applicant

Oya, at Galungan Day, Tonyraka’s staffs call me on phone. Hiccssssss I really miss them. They’re the best! While on the phone, I asked about Apple, my private guard on Tonyraka, my little cute dog.. The staff said that everyday Apple stay at the office,, waiting for me to come there. hicshicshics I hate to be melancholic. Sigh.

I think I’m on my PMS-time. Cih. sensitive melancholic annoying cynical

The email were sent. I emailed to Gaya Art Space and Tonyraka Art Gallery. While waiting for the reply, I went to East Java for praying with my father and my auntie. I came one week later, my email was replied. Tonyraka Art Gallery replied my email twice. As soon we made an appointment for an job interview.

On ‘the day’, I came to the gallery. There was a beautiful woman at the garden when I arrived. She’s Ibu Ratih. She was my-upcoming-boss at Tonyraka. She didn’t asked much at the interview, I thought she’s already interested with my resume, though I had no job experience, but she thought I was able to handling exhibitions, that’s the most important thing (fiuh..)… apparently later I knew that she was Pak Tony’s wife; Bapak Anak Agung Bagus Tony Hartawan is the owner of Tonyraka Art Gallery. When I saw him for the first time, he totally didn’t as I imagined before, I thought he was a Chinese, hehe.. apparently he is a Balinese.

On the next day, I started to work there, in the white office, as Personal Assistant to Gallery Manager. The office…It’s such a beautiful office with ricefields scenery and Tonyraka’s beautiful garden. Yes, Pak Tony is an architect, he’s good at handling space and make it attractive.

Daily, there’re only me and Apple -blasteran tekel n peking (ga tw gmn nulisnya) in the office. Yes, he’s my favorite at Tonyraka. *hics.. jadi kangen… He accompanied me all day long, just lying on the floor sleeping in peace. Hmph.. klo bs mending Ri pacaran ma Apple aja deh hiahiahiha… Ibu Ratih sometimes worked at the office, but not everyday, when she was in the office, we chat while working. She’s chill and truly, she’s a very nice boss

Every single day, before began my day at the office, I always sightseeing at the ricefields and the little river that run through between my office and the ricefields. I didn’t mean to be melancholic but if you lived on a very crowded street, then you found a peaceful place, I think you’ll feel the same thing like me

It’s quiet and peaceful, but sometimes boring, but…that’s the white office, the place where I spent my last 6 month. huh..

Tonyraka Art Gallery and Ubud Writers and Readers Festival
presents painting exhibition entitled “Man to Man” and book launch “Reasons for Harmony – Hivos Anthology of Indonesian Writing in Translation”.

“Man to Man” is a contemporary review of “Pawongan” (relationship between man to man) concept, which is an integral part of Tri Hita Karana; Balinese’s life philosophy. Featuring 4 Balinese artists; A. A. Darmayuda, Wayan Pastika, Polenk Rediasa and Ketut Sugantika (Lekung). Curated by Kadek Krishna Adidharma. Opening on Friday, March 13, 2009 at 6.30 with performance by Teater Angin. The exhibition will run through Friday, March 3, 2009, daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Well..well..wel..pertama kali denger tentang lagu ini dari baca status FB-nya salah satu temen Ri: “Baru pulang dari Hu’u & dengerin lagunya Oppie I’m Single and Very Happy”. Waktu itu Ri berfikir: huh? Oppie? ngluarin album lg? Oppie yang dibilangbilang Alanis Morisette-nya Indonesia itu khan? Dan beberapa hari kemudian Ri jalan sama temen n temen Ri bilang: Lagunya Oppie bagus yah! dan (lagi-lagi) Ri berpikir emang kek mana sih lagunya?

Selang beberapa hari kemudian RI ngga sengaja denger lagu itu di radio. Oooo…o ini toh lagu yang lagi jadi TOP CHART-nya para Jomblo-ers. Dari judulnya uda kentara bgt klo itu lagu bwat para jomblo-ers sejati. I’M SINGLE AND VERY HAPPY. Tapi..apa bener, VERY HAPPY?

Slogan “SINGLE AND VERY HAPPY” langsung mengingatkan Ri pada demam Chicklit yang sempat melanda cewecewe di Indonesia Raya inih. Yeah.. Chicklit, bacaan ringan berbentuk novel terjemahan yang disampulnya selalu ada slogan” “BEING SINGLE and HAPPY” dengan cover yang sooo sweeetttt and soooo cuuteee. Novelnovel ringan ini asalnya dari negeri luar sono dan kemudian karena booming bermunculanlah novelisnovelis Chicklit lokal yang seringkali ceritanya nggak penting bgt , sok asik ataw malah sering keluarngeri-negerian bgt. peh.

Isi dari novel chicklit tersebut kebanyakan garis besarnya kya gni nih: perempuan (bukan wanita) karier yang kelamaan single (ataw emang ga pernah punya co), mendambakan Mr. Right, kehidupannya merana (krn ga punya pacar), naksir salah satu temen kantornya (atau tetangga di apartemennya yang good looking, good job and good semuasemuanya alias Mr. Too Good to be True or Mr. Masa Depan Cerah), Miss Single digambarkan cuma bisa jadi secret admirer aja kemudian dilanjutkan dengan satu kejadian menjadi titik balik hidupnya yang SINGLE and NOT SO HAPPY ituh, yups, jalan untuk bisa deket sama Mr. Right-nya terbuka dan diakhiri dengan bersatunya Miss Single and Mr. Right-nya. *sigh* Ending yang uda bisa ketebak bgt.

Well..wel..well..kalo emang bener konsisten dengan slogan Being Single and Happy, semustinya di tiap Chicklit alur cerita menggambarkan betapa bahagianya Miss Single menjalani hariharinya tanpa impian Finding Mr. Right, right???

Hum… slogan yang menyesatkan itu dibuat cuma untuk menghibur cewecewe single yang ga kunjung dapetin Mr. Right! Ok, Ri ngaku, Ri pun pernah jadi korban slogan semacam ini. Ada jamannya dahulu kala, Ri baca novel chicklit sambil senyumsenyum sendiri. Larut deh dalam petualangan Miss Single (secara yang baca juga single) dan ketika uda sampe ending, langsung tarik nafas panjang, fiuhhhh…. dan langsung bobo mimpi indah berharap besok akan ketemu Mr. Perfect-In-My-Opinion. Euforia yang menyesatkan.

Back to Chicklit. Jadilah penerbitpenerbit buku memanfaatkan keterpurukan Miss-Miss Single untuk mendongkrak penjualan mereka dengan cara menjual mimpimimpi ala Cinderella versi modern. Boomingnya Chicklit secara nggak langsung menunjukkan salah satunya bahwa banyak banget cewecewe single yang berusaha keras bgt untuk menjadi HAPPY. Ngga salah juga sih si penerbit, ini namanya simbiosis mutualisme. Si penerbit dapet untung, si pembaca dapet seneng. Ga da yang salah dari  hal tersebut kan?

Huah..Ngomongin single daritadi..Ri jadi kangen lg baca chicklit… rasanya boleh deh mengulang masa lalu masa indah sesekali.. hihi

An action was made to reduce Global Warming on our beloved earth, it called WORLD SILENT DAY (WSD)! It’s a collective society action to help climate change by traditional wisdom (kearifan tradisional).

When? On March 21, 2009 at 10 am to 2 pm, you are asked to turn off your electric stuff (computer, AC, TV, radio, mobile etc). 21 March was chosen because at that time the sun is on vernal equinox spot and will move from equator to north. It’s as a symbol of a new beginning life.

Hum… This action was inspired from Nyepi Day, Balinese Hindu Hari Raya which at that day  all Bali resident (Hindu, non-Hindu) were not allowed  to leave home to do activity which means at that day, in Bali, the city is more less like a dead city. No motorcycle, no cars, no flight and because of this, approximately 20 thousands tons of CO2 emissions decrease in Bali. Peaceful island, fresh air…Good news, huh?

I was glad when I found this action for the first time. It’s very easy! This action extends list of local acts about global warming issue; Bike to Work, My Baby Tree are my favorites, and this one too!
