Displaying is one of my favorite activities (though somethimes I feel not really good on it)!And yesterday I displayed paintings in Inspirational Space located at Intercontinental Bali Resort, Jimbaran. Yes, my gallery (I mean, the gallery which I work to) hold a little exhibition there. This time, we presents Bambang Supriyono and Prana Agung, duo decorative painters who fall in love with the beauty of women.

Bambang Supriyono was born in Yogyakarta, on 29 January 1961. He finished his study at Sekolah Tinggi Seni Rupa Indonesia(SSRI; Indonesia School of Fine Arts) in 1981 afterward he moved to Bali in 1982. He was a student of Dullah-an Indonesia master of painting on Sanggar Pejeng. He began to paint in decorative style in 1991 and bend the style until now, while Prana Agung is a painter who was born in Solo, Central Java on October 5, 1954. He studied at Sekolah Seni Rupa Indonesia (SSRI; Indonesia School of Fine Arts) in Yogyakarta as well.

They both fall in love with the beauty of woman, but Bambang’s painting portrays Balinese girls’ religious life activities such as making and offering the ceremony offering things. While Bambang exploring Balinese girls’ religious life activities, Prana more pay attention to women’s activities and gestures. ’His women’ is more like typical chinese-japanese women, yellow skin women. All of ‘his women’ are closed-eyes -never stare one to another like live in their own world and mind though they do activity together.

I really enjoyed displaying this time, the paintings look in harmony with the interior. Mrs. Ratna, the Inspirational Space supervisor was glad as well. Thank you for the team, Pak De-the driver, Pak Nesa and Komang Koplo - the staff.
Ibu Ratih, my boss, didn’t joined in b’coz she had a flu-fever so I took some pictures to show to her. Fortunately she was satesfied with my works after I showed the pictures. Yippee…
